Personalized training for your horse

Bart together with his partner Šárka can also take in your horse for short- or long-term training. This can be a great opportunity to kick-start your horse’s education, or to resolve issues you might have with your horse. Education for your horse might include teaching or improving side-movements (shoulder-in, travers, renvers), improving gait quality and transitions, preparation for shows or competitions, teaching of high school exercises such as piaffe or terre-a-terre, mezair, and courbettes, and overall development of self-carriage, collection, and lightness to the aids.

If you would like to know more about Šárka, you can find her website here.

Before taking in your horse we will arrange a consultation with you. Here you will have the opportunity to discuss your horse, their history, and what you would like us to work on during the training. Based on the individual needs of your horse, a training program is set up. It will be shared with you along with other updates on your horse and their progress. Training spots depend on our schedule and have limited availability.

If you are interested and want more information, please send an inquiry to info@barthartogsveld.nl or use one of the other contact details on this website.

Past horses in training

Madison

Madison is a Czech warmblood mare that was bought by her owner to do showjumping and dressage. She was in training for a longer period and she started from the beginning, when she was just broken in. In 2023 she jumped her first 130 cm class competition. Her dressage training included side-movements in all gaits and reached piaffe and mezair/courbettes.

Carllos

Carllos is a Holsteiner gelding that was also a long-term project. His owner is doing a variety of disciplines with him, including working equitation and dressage. He started with basic gaits and developed into doing advanced dressage exercises such as piaffe and the beginnings of mezair.

Some of the other past horses in training

Carmen

Carmen is a PRE mare. Most of the training focused on improving calmness and relaxation during riding, where she tensed up. We also worked on forward and basic dressage skills.

Koster

Koster is an English thoroughbred. After a racing career he had difficulties going outside and being on his own without tensing up. He is now relaxed and calm during hacks with his owner.
